ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Receptionist at this brand new Barchester care home, you’ll provide the warm welcome that helps to make sure every resident and visitor feels at home with us. Opening this summer in Lichfield, Staffordshire, The Spires Care Home has been specifically designed to provide quality residential care to older people and those living with dementia. Located close to Lichfield city centre The Spires will provide a warm, homely and friendly environment for 70 residents. Its dedicated Memory Lane community, which supports residents with dementia, will offer everything from a sensory garden through to activity kitchens. This is your opportunity to help make this first-class home a success from day one.

As our Receptionist is the first point of contact for almost everyone who comes to the home, you’ll have a vitally important part to play in creating a positive and friendly environment. The role of Receptionist with us is very varied. You can expect to answer phone calls, greet visitors, manage the reception area and show prospective residents and their families around. We might also need you to carry out some administrative tasks, like typing, photocopying and filing.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll need to be professional, caring, courteous and well organised to join us as a Receptionist. You’ll take a real interest in our residents and go out of your way to make every visitor feel at home. No formal qualifications are required but you will need a good telephone manner and strong communication skills.
