BEAD BLAST OPERATOR
Based in Burntwood, Staffordshire, this role reports to the Finishing Foreman, with the responsibility for Bead Blasting stainless steel fabrications. When not required to Bead Blast, you will be expected to undertake general labouring duties to assist the shop floor which will include removing plastic coatings, deburring and finishing.
Other duties involved in the role are as follows:
Carry out necessary checks and quality assurance of products as per specifications.
Maintain equipment in a safe, clean and in good working order.
Ensure areas are kept clean and tidy and Health and Safety procedures and policies are adhered to at all times.
Any other duties as required and within the skill set of this role.
Skills & Experience Required:
Bead or shot blasting experience is a pre requisite of this role.
This role is undertaken in a relatively small and confined bead blast unit and requires the operative to wear a full protective suit and helmet at all times whilst bead blasting.
Ability to work within a team or on your own.
Experience of working on a shop-floor environment would be an advantage but not a requirement.
Being able to use your own initiative to solve problems.
Ability to multi-task and be flexible
Have an attention to detail and quality.
Possess a ‘can do’ attitude.
Having a fork lift licence and any other manufacturing/fabrication skills qualifications would be an advantage.
