A leading IT Infrastructure Consultancy seeks an experienced test Manager for an Exchange Hybrid Cloud and Skype for Business Migration, based on client site in Stratford Upon Avon for a 3 month contract initially. Part time contract, 2-3 days per week.

The Test Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of a test project, responsible for producing project estimates relating to testing, defining the resources required, creating the test project plan and test strategy, controlling the analysis, design, execution and reporting of the test activities (e.g. daily reports, end of test report, the test certificate). The test manager will also own and manage all defects. As required they will manage a team of Test Analysts. Accountable for Test and Validation service delivery of infrastructure change and patch testing (e.g. Microsoft Patch Tuesday) and will interact with many of our Internal Service Providers and 3rd party suppliers.
The Test Manager's daily tasks will be ensuring adherence to test plan and test schedule, test execution and test reporting for the customer(s) they are accountable. All test activities should adhere to the Test and Validation Management processes and good practice standards.

The Ideal Candidate
Excellent understanding of the Test lifecycle
Understanding of Project Management Practices
Good knowledge of IT platforms, equipment and desktop / server applications.
Previously worked in a structured environment such as ITIL, Agile, Waterfall
Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
Self-motivated, able to work off own initiative or as part of a team when required.
Ability to take ownership of issues, and progress escalations to resolution.
Industry standard tools exposure, such as HP Quality Centre / ALM
Excellent understanding of the Test lifecycle
Minimum of 5 years in the Software Testing domain
Understanding of Exchange Online and Microsoft Dynamics365
Experience with Skype for Business migration projects
Experience with Exchange Online migration projects
Experience with large scale transformation projects
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

Skills Desired:
ISTQB certification Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Working knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure / Virtualisation, Experience with Windows Deployment Services, Experience with Microsoft Windows XP, Vista & Windows 7/8 & respective components; Windows Server 2003 / 2008 / 2012 & respective components Understanding of security principles

Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for overall Test Management for the projects & producing the Test Strategy, Plans and Schedule. Accountable for the test execution, defect management, progress reporting, and test reporting for the change under test. Accountable for managing risks and issues and reporting to the Test Governance Board Create and maintain associated process / procedure / control documentation. Liaise with internal technology teams and 3rd parties where necessary to understand impact of the project. Work closely with internal Test team and Release Management / 3rd parties to ensure a joined up approach. Identify and manage risks / issues that may affect the delivery of test activities. Produce KPI / SLA reporting. Contribute towards the longer term Testing strategy Work with Test Analysts on enhancing the test scope and standard test execution pack. Contribute towards continual service improvement best practices.
