Job Details

A leading global manufacturer of industrial generators and compressors are currently seeking a Financial Planning Manager who will be responsible for managing a staff of Budget Analysts, as well as reviewing and approving proposed budget plans. You will be ensuring the accuracy of the budgets and that they are in line with policies, procedures and regulations. You will present the budget analysis to senior management and make recommendations for enhancing the company's profitability. As well as the competitive basic salary, they offer 25 days holiday, rising to 32 with service, a pension after 3 months and a generous life assurance scheme. The Role: As Manager of Financial Planning you will be: -

- Budget Plans: Ensures budget plans and operations align with company goals and objectives. Reviews and approves proposed operational budget plans.
- Budget Reports: Oversees the preparation of various financial reports including budget estimates, plans or analyses. Reviews financial reports and reporting methods.
- Implementation: Ensures department-wide implementation of established budgeting policies and procedures.
- Projects: Schedules projects with budget analysts and monitors progress.
- Policies: Works closely with personnel in other departments to ensure compliance with financial systems policies and procedures. Adheres to the procedures of the company manual.
- Management: Develops and mentors a competent workforce through recruitment, training, coaching and establishing goals and objectives that drive the organisation.

To be successful in the Financial Planning Manager role you will have:

- Qualified CIMA and degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA preferred
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications as well as SAP, Lotus Notes and Cognos
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a large multinational organisation
- 2 - 5 years supervisory experience
- Thorough knowledge of budgeting, cash management and financial analysis processes
- Ability to communicate at all levels
