Electronic Development Engineer

Our Client is a family owned business that has been operating in the Telford area for over 25 years. They have a requirement for an experienced electronic development engineer to develop new products and to maintain the company's existing range of electronic products. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team the successful candidate will lead on electronic product development.

The company currently produces high reliability systems for sign lighting and for road side control applications. The company is currently undergoing a diversification drive in to new market areas.

In summary the role involves designing, developing, prototyping, testing, fault finding for new product /circuit / system development.

Additionally experience in the following would be beneficial:- transferring design to manufacture, specifying products and providing technical support to customers, production and internal and external sales.

Our client would also consider a Graduate with raw talent and who may need some training along as the cultural characteristics are there!

Person specification: Electronic Design Engineer

Education and qualification

* Educated to degree level or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or equivalent subject.

Essential Skills and Work Experience

* Design experience in analogue and digital circuit design
* Design experience of embedded systems
* Prototyping and
* Experience in writing firmware and software in C / C++ / Assembler
* Understanding impact on design of Low Voltage Regulations
* Designing for EMC compliance
* Electronic fault finding and diagnostics to component level
* Calm, organised and authoritative, great communicator who can operate whilst under pressure and remain focused on objectives
