Our Apprenticeship scheme is an established and essential route into a career at Halfords whether it’s in the Distribution Centre, our shops or some parts of our Support Centre. This role ensures that we support our learners through their Apprenticeship Programme and help them to achieve their relevant qualifications. With over 460 job locations our Assessors can be based all over the country.

Key Responsibilities

•Initial sign up meeting and completion of the ILR

•Ensure all new sign-ups are completed accurately and submitted daily

•All initial assessments (for example functional skills) to be completed at the initial sign up stage

•Complete an introduction with each learner when they start the programme clearly outlining the requirements and helping them to create an individual learning plan

•Assess and support learners working towards full apprenticeship frameworks in Retail, Customer Service, Team Leading, Warehousing and any other apprenticeship programmes within Halfords

•Deliver full training and support learners with functional skills, Maths, English and ICT (if applicable)

•Work remotely and manage your diary effectively and efficiently to ensure timely visits take place, assessments and reviews are conducted and that learners complete on time

•Complete a minimum of 10 visits a week

•Book all visits a minimum of 8 weeks in advance

•Regular communication with your Team Leader regarding the progress of your learners

•Ensure all relevant parties such as the learner and their management are aware if the visits and it is booked on the rota a minimum of 8 weeks in advance

•Update all relevant systems daily with learner progress using e-track and ensure all weekly reports are sent to relevant parties on time

•Organise and maintain documentation on learner’s progress

•Ensure you are using the relevant paperwork

•Ensure the learner journey and any relevant information or changes are logged and display a clear audit trail and inform any relevant parties

•Support, motivate and advise learners

•Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet individual learner’s needs

•Work to monthly KPI's and targets

•Ensure you keep your personal CPD up to date monthly

•Ensure the learner and manager are updated at the end of the visit with progress and actions

•Take any relevant feedback into account from your IQA, SFA, OFSTED or any other relevant party and ensuring it is incorporated going forward

•Ensure all actions from your IQA are completed and resubmitted within 5 days

•Ensuring regular communication with your learners and tracking their monthly progress to keep them on track for their expected completion date

•Responsible producing and analysing relevant data to assist in the delivery of the apprenticeship strategy

•Flexible and willing to work away from home for extended periods with a can do approach to short term commercial needs

•Listen to customers both internal and external for the benefit and improvement of the apprenticeship programme

•Coaching and leadership skills

•Ability to influence at a higher level

•Strong networking skills

•Computer literate (Microsoft office)

•Full clean driving licence

•Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required
