Acorn Recruitment is seeking a Utility & Assisting Rubber Belt Technician for our reputable client in Brecon, Mid Wales

Salary - GBP21K depending on experience OTE GBP27K+, generous benefits, bonus scheme, 25 days holiday, overtime and expenses.

Our client has been established for over 25 years and specialise in the design, development and installation of bespoke to modular automation and materials handling solutions. Providing a service to the market leading industries, from Pharmaceutical, distribution, recycling, baggage handling, food suppliers, plus many more varied industries across the UK and the rest of the world.

Reporting to the Operations Manager the successful candidate will essentially demonstrate previous experience within a manufacturing facility to assist in production processes and to operate machines or equipment to cut, shape, fit and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products. To operate machinery or equipment to trim, grind or buff rubber products into final form. To make minor adjustments or repairs to products, lay out and prepare rubber materials for assembly, inspect finished rubber products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards, check and monitor product quality, affix seal or tags to approved products and adjusting machinery and equipment to the proper settings. Further duties will include the operation of manufacturing machinery including powder coating equipment, assembly of customers machines prior to despatch and to successfully run a task with little to no supervision required, plus the ability to assess the job requirement using your own skills and initiative.

You will undertake the occasional site work assistance, therefore it is essential that you have a full clean driving licence, a flexible approach and the requirement for overnight stays including occasional weekends. You will have the capability of documenting and capturing machine/site information, feeding back into the business ensuring further opportunities are secured.
