Our client is a power company, founded in 2010, which is already a leading independent power company in the UK. Based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire it builds, owns and operates small power plants around the UK to provide National Grid with key support services. They have continued growth ambitions over the coming years.

Job Description

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the objective of this new role is to be responsible for working on projects that enhance the value of the business whilst also leading the maintenance of their existing site development portfolio. The role is an exciting one and will allow a considerable amount of personal growth and development for the successful candidate.

Key Objectives of the role:

1.Assist the Commercial Director with market analysis and market modelling of opportunities for company growth.

2.Work with the Commercial Director to negotiate terms and agreements for the power plants, in particular with National Grid.

3.Work on value-enhancing projects with and for the CEO, CFO or Commercial Director.

4.Work with the Legal Counsel to negotiate and finalise any required land access rights with landlords and third parties.

5.Keep accurate records of progress and dealings on each site, co-ordinate site files, take and keep minutes of meetings, negotiate and complete negotiations, including engagement and management of lawyers/advisers where required.

6.Apply for and maintain planning permission and other consents as required for each development site. Own and drive approval process in a timely manner.

7. Co-ordinate site surveys and visits as required to gather local data.

8.Act as a first point of contact for third parties dealing with business development and built out sites.


Key attributes/experience:

1.Self-starter with keen commercial acumen and strong drive.

2.Good team player with strong interpersonal skills and able to take responsibility.

3.Graduate with 2:1 degree minimum.

4.Very IT literate, able to use all Microsoft Office packages and online search tools.

5.Must be a hard worker with high level of enthusiasm, be keen to learn and able to grow with the Company.

6.Have own vehicle and a clean driving licence
