Our client based in Newtown Mid Wales is looking for a skilled Process Technician to work nights in their fast paced environment. This will give you a brilliant opportunity to meet new people and work alongside them across the plant. This will include continuously improving current processes as well as designing processes for the future in order to meet demand. 

This job mainly includes being responsible for the overall process within the defined area supported ensuring; the process is safe and complies with the companies H&s guidelines, the process standards are fully understood so everyone is clear as to what the capabilities are, the line is optimised producing the most that is capable of the minimal downtime, production details recorded and reviewed regularly to measure actual performance vs expected performance with plans in place to address shortfalls, support NPI by closely monitoring builds updating records and following through on open actions to completion, identify CAPEX requirements negotiate with suppliers for the best price and introduce CAPEX equipment as per agreed dates, support quality team by highlighting problem parts with defect rates and suggested improvements and involvement in lean based projects. 

You will need - 
2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience of process improvement ( Yield, DMPO, Productivity)
Experience of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Practical experience of fault finding and problem solving
Lean principles/practitioner
Able to communicate and negotiate with external suppliers
Strong analytical skills with ability to drill down to root cause and identify countermeasure
Experienced problem solver and analytical thinker
HNC/HND/Foundation degree in engineering related discipline

Hours - 

37.5 hours Monday - Friday
