Senior CAD Engineer for Cockpit Systems (Instrument Panel)

I am currently working with one of my clients who are one of the UKs largest most influential Automotive OEM'S in the UK. They are currently searching for a Senior CAD Engineer for Cockpit Systems (Instrument Panel) to join their team on a long term rolling contract basis

You will be based within the body engineering team working onsite the production plant

Senior CAD Engineer for Cockpit Systems (Instrument Panel)

Base 40 hours per week with a 3.30 pm finish on all Fridays

£30.10 per hour Limited company / umbrella

Senior CAD Engineer for Cockpit Systems (Instrument Panel)

Division: Body Engineering

Location: Gaydon

Position Description:

- Senior CAD Engineer for Cockpit Systems (Instrument Panel) for forward model programmes

Skills Required: 3 KEY SKILLS

- Engineering knowledge of Cockpit system design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
- Catia V5 - Senior CAD experience with ability to manipulate and interrogate CAD data and use associated visualisation tools.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels

Experience Required:

- PC Literacy Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc
- Significant experience in use of engineering tools FMEA, Six Sigma, problem resolution etc.
- Any person supplied should have a valid UK driving licence and meet the medical requirements
- Working knowledge of project delivery processes GPDS / FPDS / PRINCE2 or similar
- Working knowledge of change management processes
- Proven Project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery on time & budget.

Experience Preferred:

- Ideally within the automotive sector or adjacent industries, eg rail, aerospace, defence, energy etc
- Ideally degree educated

Additional Information:

- Role will be Gaydon based but could involve periods of residency at manufacturing sites during the launch phases.
