JOB PURPOSEManage the support, development and delivery of Robotics Process Automation using Blue Prism, in house (utilising internal and external delivery options), including design, implementation and upgrade schedules, allocating and scheduling staff, overseeing budgets and ensuring work does not disrupt day-to-day activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, support, and optimise each RPA process, to match business needs today, and for future planned growth. This includes, in-house developed processes using Blue Prism, including managed services.
- Ensure that new and existing RPA processes meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfil end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
- Introduce defined standards for Release Management, Change Control and Version Control to ensure enhancements, changes, upgrades and new applications installations are properly managed in a timely manner. Ensure Release schedule is properly understood and adhered to.
- Ensure a properly documented technical specification is produced based on the functional specification
- Analyse functional specifications and technical specifications to determine intended functionality.
- Collaborate with Process Analysts, RPA Developrs,Technical Architect and Infrastructure team to ensure solutions are in line with strategy, agreed standards and business need
- Project and program manage departmental and company-wide initiatives
- Ensure projects from team are delivered to time, scope, quality and budget.
- Ensure development meets defined standards and methodology.
- Set up appropriate support and monitoring services for the web sites, especially the e-commerce sites, to ensure performance is optimised, considering all aspects, working with the infrastructure team where appropriate.
- Proactively manage the development of RPA within the organisation. Facilitate the provision of opportunities for RPA processes.
- Meet regularly with internal customers to solicit feedback on needs and to verify that application developments match requirements.
- Communicate project progress effectively and succinctly in a timely manner to all affected and potentially affected individuals. Produce, present and define comprehensive project management reports.
- Plan and execute post-implementation reviews for all new processes and major changes to existing systems.
- Ensure the appropriate delivery methodology is selected - Agile, Waterfall, other.
