Business Transformation & Strategy Manager

Harvey Nash are very pleased to be working as key recruitment partner with our long-term Client whom are looking to expand their business strategy & transformation division with the addition of 2 Strategy & Business Transformation Managers to oversee one or more large-scale, £multi-million cross-departmental projects that may be local, regional, national or global in scope on particularly complex programmes.

Please note this will be focussing on many purely business impact projects & occasional technical projects and thus you must have the wider scope experience of working on large non-technical projects and be able to take full sole responsibility for design strategy/concept & full project plan from initial basic brief as well as Project Management & Specific delivery of very high-level strategic projects.

As well as offering the opportunity to occasionally work from home, this opportunity offers a salary up to £55k with progression through to £59k and fantastic benefits package offering 38 Days Holidays (plus 2 days extra after 2 years' service) + additional 8 days Bank holidays, eligibility to join an excellent pension scheme, flexible approach to work hours, staff voucher discount scheme, onsite discounted Childcare facilities and cycle to work scheme etc.

Please note - this is based within quite an unstructured environment & you must be used to working in this capacity - people who normally have a very structured/process driven employer will not be suitable for this opportunity. Very often these high-level strategic transformation projects will have a a very vague brief with a large degree of ambiguity that you must be able to investigate & formulate planning & strategy around as well as building & presenting build cases.

As the role will involve some direct communication with global delivery teams, there may be the necessity to occasionally attend overseas events and the need to liaise with colleagues in other countries out of hours & thus a degree of flexibility will be required. - although the flexible approach to work scheme provides a great opportunity to adapt to personal home commitments as well as working from home on average of one day a week.

Responsibilities will include:- extensive engagement with users & stakeholders (especially at board level) for business needs; building & presenting business cases; managing the project delivery- embedding activity in the business and realising the business benefits; co-ordinating and allocating resources; building strategic knowledge base of stakeholder culture/business needs/drivers; manage internal & external stakeholder/client interaction/expectations for successful project delivery; oversee project budgets & documentation and matrix manage project teams.

Essential Skills required:

- Management & project management of large scale (£2m+) multi-phase implementation,& delivery e.g. either systems projects or international development projects or business wide transformation & change projects

- Extensive User/Stakeholder management at all levels (Internal & External)

- Management of £multi-million project budgets especially non-technical scope

- Business case development/presentation and funding submissions

- Experience of working within unstructured environments

- Management of 3rd Party Suppliers

- Excellent communication skills & Ability to work to tight deadlines

Desirable Skills - any of these would be a plus but not essential as training provided:

- Six Sigma

- International project experience

- Lean processing qualification
