Credit Controller / Sales Ledger Clerk - Part Time

£16-£18k Basic (Pro Rata)

Newcastle under Lyme

Permanent - Part Time

The Role:

To support the Accounts Manager in credit control and administration functions

Assist in the continued development of the Department

An enthusiastic and proactive approach to working relationships with Client and colleagues

Fully participate in the Company's training policy and procedures

Monitor account applications for credit to ensure received prior to commencement of works

Checking and assessing customer's credit situation

Decide whether to offer credit

Set up new Customers accounts

Negotiating payment terms where required

Dealing with internal queries regarding invoices

Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner

Prepare Sales Invoices and send out to Customer

Meet cash and debtor day targets set by the Company

Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter within agreed timescales

Call to ensure customers have received invoices and they are logged on their system

Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity

Respond promptly to both client and internal enquiries

Send out monthly client statements

Develop the credit management capability within the Company

Start legal action to collect the money owed (if necessary)

You are expected to regularly review the company's debt recovery procedures

There should be a close liaison between the credit controller and the sales department

Credit issues and invoice queries to be resolved smoothly

Hours:

Office Hours: 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday

30 hours per week - Either 4 or 5 days - Either 8.30am or 9am start
