My client is a leading innovation, design and manufacturing company of bespoke aluminium and stainless steel equipment.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a quality engineer to join their ever expanding team of professionals.
The perfect candidate will have strong knowledge of quality standard ISO9001:2015 and experience of working within a similar industry.
Key responsibilities:
To ensure that the company quality standards ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 13485:2016 are adhered to and maintained.
To assist with the implementation of OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001.
Ensure that Non-conforming products, services and processes are investigated and appropriate corrective/preventative actions are implemented and audit the effectiveness of the actions.
To provide a Quality customer interface and ensure that their requirements are understood and satisfied, including customer resolution.
Development and reporting of Key Performance Indicators and undertaking trend analysis.
To assist in the development and implementation of LEAN activities throughout the manufacturing process.
To promote awareness of 5S methodology and champion its use throughout the organisation.
Promote a Quality and Health & Safety culture throughout the organisation.
To liaise with Production and Design managers to improve our manufacturing process.
To support and advise Production/Engineering and other business areas as required.
Support in the supply chain management of the organisation, supplier approval and audits.
Participation in external audits by customers or accrediting bodies.
Assist in the continual improvement of the QMS.
To assist in the development of our paperless manufacturing process
The generation of manufacturing documentation i.e. process control and right first time on repeat products.
Required Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of ISO 13485; ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 would be preferred but not essential.
A Professional qualification in Quality and Health & Safety would be preferred.
Demonstrable knowledge and the use of quality methodologies i.e. 5S, LEAN, PPAP, Six Sigma etc.
Excellent communication skills including written and verbal presentation.
Computer literate in particular Microsoft offices, word, excel.
A team player who is motivated and strives for excellence.
