The main focus of this role will be to increase sales revenue by management of Key Accounts and to contribute to the development of the company's customer base and products by maximizing the potential of both existing clients and developing new business opportunities. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will include:·Act as the main point of contact for a number of existing and selected new potential clients. ·Build long-term profitable business relationships with these clients through all modes of communication including travel to customers’ place of business. ·Develop sales skills that are appropriate, ethical and present proposals with the use of different selling methods. ·Rationalize new business prospects in terms of feasibility, pricing, margins and contribution.·Keep accurate records including use of sales data to manage your business and keep your line manager informed of progress.·Respond to tenders/RFQ’s and requests for information in a timely manner.·Continuously develop product and production process knowledge so that clients are offered the best quality support possible.·Manage with the support of company directors and other executives all client proposals, contracts, agreements and associated documentation. ·Initiate the trial process for concept to production. Specifically agreeing on customer specifications, creating trial initiation documents, liaising with internal departments (such as design, technical, quality and production) and providing the client with feedback throughout. ·Undertake a monthly analysis of client schedules and seek to understand any variances in volume or similar. ·Maintain regular communication with the relevant sales administrator and keep up- to-date on any current issues e.g. quality related issues, credit or supply concerns. ·Maintain a record of and report on prospect / client activity e.g. visit reports. ·Ensure excellent and regular communication with all departments to promote strong working relationships. ·Present a professional image of the company at all times with our customers through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and e-mail contact. ·Comply with company and departmental Quality Standards and procedures and Health & Safety procedures and instructions. ·From time to time it may be necessary to take responsibility for other duties as directed by the line manager.
To be considered for this position the following qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience are required:·Ideally Degree/HNC/HND qualified (or equivalent previous experience in with Commercial Sales within the Automotive Industry). ·Fully conversant in the use of Salesforce, MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, etc) along with report writing (Essential).·Must be willing to travel extensively (UK and Europe), including nights away from home.
