Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Legal Co-ordinator role will lead on, and effectively resolve, cases of high level anti-social behaviour, harassment and tenancy breaches, taking legal action as required.
We are looking for someone with an eye for detail, who can communicate well and liaise effectively with YHG colleagues, customers and partners such as the Police and the local authority. You will be resilient and skilled at managing difficult situations and able to deal calmly with challenging customers.
You will have a good understanding of the legal options for tackling anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches together with the knowledge and confidence to select and use appropriate legal remedies, including apply to and representing YHG in court. You will understand principles around managing risk and safeguarding vulnerable customers. You will also have excellent recording keeping and case management skills. You will also be a team player, be able to influence partner agencies in supporting our aims and have the commercial awareness to manage budgets and meet targets as agreed with the Operation Manager.
This role covers a wide geographical area across Staffordshire Moorlands. You will be required to be mobile around the whole area to attend court hearings and conduct tenancy visits as required at short notice.

This role is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.Therefore a DBSENHANCED check for a regulated activity is an essential requirement.
