Manufacturing Technicians / CNC Setter - Operators
I am recruiting CNC setter / operators - manufacturing technicians for a high precision engineering team in Solihull, they are part of a Global organisation offering an excellent career opportunity with a growing company.
The job role involves -
Manufacture, inspect and certify components to defined specification
Maintain a clean, organised, methodical and efficient work area
To project a flexible, proactive approach, coupled with willingness to work overtime and shifts as required, to ensure the output objectives are achieved.
To support the Team Leader/Supervisor in meeting team objectives
Set and operate equipment used in the manufacture of the Company’s defined products
To control, update, back up and maintain issue of CNC programmes
Monitor tool life and aid in the developing of process control by utilising Pre-Control & Statistical Process Control techniques
To complete and maintain documentation and records in accordance with the
Company’s defined products.
Assist in the development and operation of manufacture to cost
To maintain safe working practices, within the department and also in support of the wider safety agenda
Support 5s, business control and audit requirements
The ideal applicant will be apprentice trained or have equivalent experience.
Ability to manufacture and inspect engineering drawings.
Be experienced in programming CNC machines is preferred.
Must be competent in use of hand guages, inspection equipment and computerised measurement equipment.
A team player with high standards at all tines.
Experience of working in a lean manufacturing production environment.
Experience of operating Mazak, Citizen CNC, lathes, Bridgeport and Mikron Multiaxis machine centres is preferable.
