£18,300 - £19,600 per annum

39 hours a week, 35 days holiday, pension, assistance programme, training and development and childcare voucher scheme.

About Us:

Bladon House School specialises in autism, speech and language disorders, moderate to severe learning difficulties and associated behavioural difficulties. Through our work we also have also developed skills in achieving significant progress and successful outcomes for children and young people with PraderWilli Syndrome.

Through personalised learning we provide students with a range of real life experiences and opportunities to explore choice and preferences. Staff work with students to establish their interests and motivators of each young person and then develops these. We offer a practical and functional curriculum with emphasis on skills for life, enterprise and work related learning.

Students are at the centre of all planning and, whenever possible, are involved in development and review of their programmes.

The Role:

We are seeking to appoint someone who is ready for the next step in their career, to provide leadership and management in order to achieve a service that provides a clear direction to all staff and outstanding care to the young people.

As a Team Leader you will be required to lead and manage a team of residential care staff whose main focus is to ensure that the residents at Bladon House School lead active and full lives. You will assist service users with all aspects of their personal care and development and be responsible for planning each shift, delegating responsibility throughout your team while continuously ensuring that the highest level of care achieved.

Responsibilities also include identifying additional training needs and development areas for your team, while continuously monitoring and reviewing their practice as well as your own.

The successful person must be at least working towards the Level 3 Diploma in care or similar accreditation and have at least 12 months experience of working in a similar environment. You must have experience of leading a shift and possess knowledge of safeguarding procedures.

Flexibility is essential, to work various shifts and cover holidays.
