MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To be accountable for the scheduling of work to the drivers and delivery/collection of vehicles through the professional and ethical management of people and resources within the transporter operation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Oversee the resource available to ensure that all the following issues are resolved on a daily basis:
    • Address queries
    • Customer complaints (from any source)
    • Administration (driver’s paperwork)
    • Delay Management
    • Vehicle availability
    • Vehicle Damage
    • Knowledge of Tachograph laws and Regulations (inc downloads)
    • Accident reporting
    • Customer reporting
  • Ensure that all drivers are trained in the use of Tachograph equipment and its use. Liaise with the Driver Trainer with regards to ongoing training as appropriate.
  • Liaise with customers as necessary regarding complaints or problems and seek resolutions to these problems or complaints
  • To plan and control a suitable days work content according to the Company’s service cost criteria and agreed transporter drivers incentive scheme.
  • Deal with all matters relating to unsafe delivery practises
  • Ensure that all damage is recorded and accident forms are completed immediately, logged and passed to the correct personnel, where appropriate and without delay
  • Ensure that driver’s uniform is provided and worn in the correct manner.
  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    To action any other reasonable request from the Department Manager or Company Director and assist the team as applicable.

    To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of the job.
