Purchase Ledger Manager - Birmingham - 27-32Kpa - Perm

Greenwellgleeson is recruiting an Accounts Payable Manager to join a succesful growing business based in Birmingham. The main purpose of the role will be to ensure the AP department is running smoothly and effectivley and all invoices associated to the company are processed accurately and paid to agreed terms. To manage the performance of 7 AP clerks inc KPI's and regular performance reviews. Consolidating numbers and reporting to the Shared Service Manager

Responsibilities Inc

  • Allocation of resources to ensure timely processing of all invoices/payments

  • Processing of all invoices (large volume)

  • Accurate processing of VAT on all purchase invoices and periodic reporting of inputs into quarterly returns

  • Reconciliation of all supplier accounts including those paid under DD

  • Preparation of manual payments

  • Establishing appropriate KPI measures

  • Designing appropriate QC procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing

  • Designing and implementing process improvements aimed at improved efficiency and/or accuracy

  • Undertaking ad hoc projects aimed at specific departmental issues including reconciling

The ideal candidate will have

  • Good knowledge of general VAT processing and administration

  • Good Excel skills

  • Experience of process improvement, designing and implementing KPI measures and process controls

  • Experienced purchase ledger supervisor/manager with at least 5 years' experience in purchase ledger including at least 2 years in a supervisory position
