Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with experience of the pressings industry? If so, we are recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for a leading supplier of pressed body parts in the Worcester area. The Manufacturing Engineer will have a strong knowledge of the Automotive industry, manufacturing processes, procedures ideally within the pressings industry.

As Manufacturing Engineer you will;

  • Develop, establish and optimise the manufacturing processes for both new and existing products in order with cost, quality and lead time expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Will work with engineers on new or resourced business projects on in-house commissioning, final buy-off and acceptance (internally & customer)
  • To support the procurement and introduction to site of additional and upgraded production equipment through liaison with all the necessary personnel and external supplier contacts
  • Keeping all costs to an absolute minimum, whilst contributing to the safe and efficient running of production processes and cost-effective use of downtime
  • Lead in the automation of cells in line with company requirements


  • Experience of working in an Automotive environment
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and hydraulic press machinery
  • Demonstrates understanding of technical aspects of operations. The ability to communicate and evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production and support of products and services.
  • Knowledge of automation systems; to include integration and tooling
  • Experience of Lean

Specific Skills:

  • HND or equivalent level qualification in Manufacturing or Engineering.
  • Exposure to design programs (CAD, CATIA etc.)
  • Works effectively and cooperatively with others to achieve goals: establishes and maintains good working relationships.
  • Ability to collect, organise and analyse data; summarise findings; develop conclusions and deploy recommendations from appropriate data sources.

  • Clearly conveys information and ideas in a manner that engages the audience and helps them retain the message. Actively listens to others to clarify own and others understanding.
