FMCG Connect is pleased to be working with a well-known brand looking for a Head of PR to manage their growing PR and communication demands.

The successful candidate will have previously worked in a similar role or a role below and looking for the next move up.

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Marketing Director, the Head of PR & Media Relations to develop the PR, Social Media and Communications strategy for the company
  • Full accountability and responsibility to define and set PR strategy in line with their 5-year Business Plan
  • Develop and deliver highly creative in-house Press Office capabilities to support the company as a whole
  • Develop and improve Social Media comms against relevant engagement and recruitment objectives
  • Lead, develop and manage a proactive and visible in-house PR, Social Media and comms team to deliver exceptional news generation and PR coverage
  • Develop a strategically critical Business & Brand Reputational comms plan in order to continue to rebuild the brands reputation across all customer and industry audiences
  • Maximise all attraction and resort annual new news to deliver optimum positive PR coverage and news generation against agreed coverage and commercial targets
  • Build an exceptional press and PR contact network with a focus on key national broadcast TV, Press and Online contacts as well as key regional media contacts

  • Ownership, development and growth of all social networks with the objective of maximising engagement, reach and interaction as well as ownership of social tone of voice
  • Manage agency time and relationships to ensure optimum use of PR. Source and appoint agencies as necessary to assist in delivery of the marketing strategy
  • External PR Agency management

Essentials

  • Hold a strong understanding of PR and communications management
  • Previous experience in applying and introducing new and cutting edge social media trends and initiatives into marketing and business plans
  • Previous experience managing PR budgets
  • Previous line management experience
