We are currently recruiting in our Market Drayton team for a Blow Moulding Packaging Technician. We are looking for an experienced individual to be part of Muller's UK Manufacturing Operation. To enable Muller UK to achieve its strategic vision through a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. The successful candidate would ensure that the packaging operation is carried out in a safe and hygienic manner complying with Company product specification and quality standards at the plant.

Your challenge

In this role the key responsibilities will include:

* To ensure the product being packaged meets the required specification, reporting any defects to the Team Leader, Supervisor or Management.
* Ensure the film utilised for packaging is of an acceptable standard and comply with specifications in colour and size according to product type.
* To ensure goods are properly wrapped and to report any faults immediately to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
* To ensure paperwork is completed correctly and to ensure that housekeeping is of the highest standard at all times.
* To report any fixing requirements to the Team Leader.
* To report any health and safety concerns.
* To carry out duties in accordance with health and safety practice and within quality, hygiene and food safety policy.
* To perform any other duties in connection with the operation of providing good quality packaging that may from time to time be reasonably required and are consistent with the main purpose of the job.
* Work as part of a team with responsibility for ensuring production volumes are achieved effectively and to the highest quality standard.
* Operate Manufacturing Machinery in accordance to laid down procedures.
* Use all equipment or substance in accordance with training or instruction.
* Rectify minor faults and escalate major problems to engineering technicians as necessary.
* Full adherence to all standard operating procedures, company standards, health and safety procedures and other policies and procedures including: personal hygiene, the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment, standard operating procedures.
* Proactive approach to all matters concerning Health & Safety; co-operate with employer in assisting them to fulfil their statutory duties.
* Report any serious or imminent danger and any shortcomings in the employers' protective Health & Safety arrangements.
* Prompt reporting of any Accident Near Misses to your Line Manager.
* Accurate completion of all protocol checks and all other Company documentation related to your position.
* Maintain the hygienic standards of the production environment and general housekeeping of your working area(s).
Key skills & experience

* Educated to GCSE Level.
* A proven mechanical aptitude.
* Previous machine experience from within a fast moving production environment is desirable.
* A flexible approach; able to adapt to changing daily production plans.
* A good listener/communicator.
* Able to demonstrate initiative and prioritisation skills.
* Effective team worker.
