A specialist manufacturer and a primary supplier of automated systems and equipment solutions supporting the Aerospace, Automotive & Metal Industries worldwide, is now looking for a Mechanical Fitter due to expansion.

This position will suit an Engineer looking for a role with diversity and a varying array of challenges that change on a day to day basis. If you are seeking the opportunity to progress, train and travel - this is the position for you!

Your duties include:

Construction of mechanical systems and equipment to concise engineering drawings and production timescales

Fault-finding and diagnostics of mechanical equipment

Installation of systems and equipment at customer locations, worldwide

Adhere to the company policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will be qualified to City & Guilds (Mechanical qualification) or will be Mechanical apprentice trained.

You will have 3 years of mechanical equipment assembly experience along with the ability to work independently or as a part of a team. Sound knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes would be highly advantageous.

You will be self-motivated and able to use initiative in prioritising tasks as well as keen to accept responsibility and accountability. Strong communication skills, professional manner and the ability to represent the company to a high standard are essential pre-requisites. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Mechanical Fitter will work as part of a dedicated team of four to build mechanical systems and equipment from detailed engineering drawings.

The role requires the ability to travel worldwide and you need to hold a Full & Clean driving licence. The role is based in Shropshire and is commutable from within and around the following locations: Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, and Stafford.
