Lead Planning Analyst
About the Role
As a Lead Planning Analyst you will provide both financial and commercial direction, which includes specific insight across Severn Trent Water's #Customer business, in order to fully support the operation on the delivery and builds of our business plan, and any related processes. As part of this role you will drive a proactive, decision-based management culture, which includes the identification, implementation, and monitoring of changes and innovations that will contribute to the delivery of improved services. Whilst identifying, building, and delivering our #Customer business plans, and key associated outputs, you will also be working with colleagues in developing the planning framework, ensuring the right measures are being focussed on to deliver the desired business plan obligations and outputs. Furthermore, you will be responsible for planning, controlling, and delivering forecast and budget processes and outputs, as well as reviewing and challenging forecast and efficiency submissions.
As a qualified accountant, you will have demonstrated a track record of taking the lead in developing and delivering world-class financial and performance insights and reporting. You will also have experience of developing and supporting continuous performance improvement, and first-class stakeholder management experience. With the ability to work independently and as part of a team, it is key that you have both drive and ambition in order to succeed in this role. You will be commercially astute, highly organised, and have good analytical and diagnostic skills. It is also key that the successful candidate has excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as strong influencing skills at both senior level and front line operations. With a customer-centred mind set, in order to succeed at this role you will also have the ability to provide real added-value insight and interpretation of information whilst guiding stakeholders to the key issues and drivers.
