As one of Coventry's biggest employers, we offer some pretty impressive benefits including an excellent pension scheme and generous holiday allowances.

With a significant investment in our estate and facilities, the Coventry University campus reflects our growth and development in becoming University of the Year for 2015 (Times Higher Education) and Modern University of the Year three years running (Times and Sunday Times). Spaces such as TheHub, the Lanchester Library and the Engineering and Computing building are landmark developments for the University, and as the University grows in size and reputation, our estate will continue to advance.

Is highly ambitious and expanding operation. Our three Schools promote and facilitate collaboration and access to specialist resources in response to an increasingly diverse technological and geographical workplace. From winning awards, achieving seniority in international organisations, to being successful entrepreneurs, we have helped our students to follow their dreams of becoming cultural and creative professionals.

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to manage and co-ordinate the Faculty’s buildings estate and all its physical facilities and resources – specialist teaching, learning, exhibition, practice and performance spaces. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, which comprises three schools: the School of Art and Design, the School of Humanities and the School of Media and Performing Arts. Each has a complex and exciting array of cutting-edge facilities and spaces including fashion workrooms, plastics, metalworking and robotics, dance studios, automotive clay modelling workshops, TV studios, a fully equipped theatre and language labs. The Facilities Manager will work with a dedicated team to support the diverse activities of the schools and our shared facilities and will have the opportunity to support external (national and international) projects and activities. You will also lead on and ensure compliance with university policy and legal requirements on Health and Safety for the Faculty; on environmental and energy issues for the School; and to oversee the Faculty resource timetabling process.

You will have an honours degree or equivalent professional qualifications; experience in managing physical resources, ideally in an educational and creative practice context. You will be able to lead on, contribute to and influence strategy in relation to resource planning and usage.
