Morson International are currently recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Manager for a permanent position in the South Birmingham area. This is an opportunity to join a global manufacturing business who operate in a range of industries including Aerospace, Automotive and Rail.

As the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will report to the Site Operations Manager and will be accountable for the implementation, coordination and management of Continuous Improvement for the site.

The role involves facilitating continuous improvement implementation and employee involvement. You will be key to improvements across various areas and functions, being a major contributor in creating an environment where lean tools are pulled upon. You will also support the site management and employees to implement and sustain a beneficial change culture.

The main responsibilities will include:

- Be a practitioner, coach, teacher and trainer to support the site steering committee and employee involvement teams
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities from concept to completion
- Facilitates improvement implementation through employee teams, leading CI events, team improvement projects etc
- Provide local leadership, coaching and training on lean thinking, lean processes and lean production
- Identify opportunities to implement common processes and best practices from other sites and businesses

What we are looking for in you:

- You will be educated in Lean principles and will have proven track record in the delivery and implementation of lean techniques.
- Proven track record of implementing and sustaining positive change in a manufacturing environment.
- Confident problem solver, with in depth knowledge of structured problem solving tools and techniques.
- Strong influencing skills, able to influence and challenge where required at all levels of the business.
- Builds teams and acts as a role model in coaching, and leading change.
- Understanding of CI/Lean/Six Sigma tools and techniques.
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Data management and analysis skills using MS Office.
- Good visual communication and presentation skills to both technical and non-technical staff at all levels.
- Comfortable creating and delivering training events to large groups.
