Our Transport & Distribution client are currently recruiting for an IT Programme Manager- Logistics Systems to join their business in Birmingham

Client Details

Our client is a global Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain business based in Birmingham and undertaking a programme of work to replace their Logistics related systems


As part of IT Programme Manager- Logistics Systems role your main responsibilities will be to:

- Manage a large IT programme of transformation surrounding the replacement and/or upgrade of our clients core Logistics based systems- ERP, WMS, TMS etc
- Manage a team of Project Managers and Business Systems Analyst to ensure the successful delivery of 3 key work-streams that make up the programme (ERP, WMS and TMS)
- Establish best practice within the team to ensure efficient delivery
- Engage with Director level stakeholders to ensure business buy in
- Liaise with the Business Transformation team to ensure this programme ties in with the wider Business strategy
- Manage third party suppliers to ensure project progress


To be successful in your application for the IT Programme Manager- Logistics Systems role you will:

- Have a strong background in programme management
- Have a demonstrable experience of delivering ERP, WMS or TMS solutions
- Have excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to push-back and challenge when needed
- Have strong project management process- Prince2 certification desirable
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment and to tight project deadlines
- Experience with one of the following is essential; SAP ERP, SAP HANA, WMS or TMS systems
- ERP experience in general is essential
- Have worked for a Logistics/3PL business
- Be willing to travel UK wide as part of the role
