Our client is a £12 -15 million turnover business in the waste/recycling and environmental sector. The company have exciting growth plans for the next 3 - 5years and the business is now looking to build further.

The role of the Tele Appointer

This is a brand new role that has arisen for a Tele-appointer to join a hard-working and lively team based in Smethwick. Within this role you will promote and sell Industrial machinery to new customers. You will be given a set of Data made up of: new accounts, lapsed accounts and self generated leads to develop by building rapport with customers and arranging appointments for the area sales manager to visit. You are targeted to offer them both new and alternative solutions from the clients Core range, that support both the customer and business requirements.

Main responsibilities of the Tele Appointer

- Understand customer needs and requirements and identify the opportunities to build pipelines and close deals.
- Use excellent telephone and communication skills when talking to both external and internal customers, using appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods with a view to achieve objectives and or business growth.
- Use internal customer contact tools and systems, to manage the day to day running of your data, ensure systems are maintained and updated at all times.
- Adopt best practices within the team, sharing and highlighting areas where the team and our customers can benefit either through different ways of working or approaches.
- Contribute towards company targets and profit by way of meeting and/or exceeding set targets as an individual and contributing to the teams

The Successful candidate for the Tele Appointer

- You will have B2B experience in one of the following 3 - Internal Sales/Business Development, Telemarketing/Telesales experience
- Self-motivated and upbeat team player
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent at communicating, particularly in relation to questioning
- Demonstrates a good business understanding and can engage with all levels of the business
- Ability to negotiate and set prices
- Knowledge of the waste industry would be an advantage
