Training Manager (Manufacturer & Bentley)
Babcock International Group is currently looking to appoint an experience Training Manager (Manufacturer & Bentley) to deliver our world class training programme on behalf of our clients. You will inspire the next generation working within the automotive and manufacturing industry, delivering training at the various client facilities.
We train over 1,500 delegates per year as part of our programme taking them through from induction to graduation.Our training is delivered across multiple brands including Jaguar Land Rover and Bentley.You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of people and contribute to their successful career development.
This role will require regular travel in and out of the region visiting various client sites
We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with an Automotive, Engineering or Vehicle Factory Plant/ Manufacturing background. Ideal candidate will have experience in staff utilisation, training management, preferably with a teaching qualification. This role will suit someone who is client focused, confident with strong proven communication skills and has an awareness of business development and able to drive growth.
Top 7 Major Tasks and Activities:
·Manage the portfolio of training based out of the JLR Manufacturing facilities.
·Manage the portfolio of training and assessing based out of the Auto craft facilities.
·Manage the facilities booking , planning ,utilisation and general Health and safety and good housekeeping duties within facilities
·Manage the progression and achievement of learners in a timely manner
·Ensure that the delegate training experience remain exemplary
·To proactively target employers and promote manufacturing training.
·Management of the Quality Improvement Plan and client KPI
·Review the monthly performance of the Apprentice and Manufacturer Trainers and assessors ensuring the achievement of all key performance indicators
·An automotive industry professional, specifically with a background in vehicle training and manufacturer lean process ideally within the Jaguar Land Rover and other manufacturer brand(s)
·Specialist in instructional design and development
·Experience in measuring the effectiveness of training and post course evaluation methods
·Is familiar with scheduling principles that maximise utilisation
·Possesses above average IT skills and is used to working in an LMS environment
Key Behavioural competencies:
·Differentiates Babcock Training (as employer) and JLR/Bentley (the client) represents both organisations appropriately
·Acts on opportunities to develop business and communicates these to the relevant managers within the organisation
·Advocates training and is committed to measuring the effectiveness of training interventions through a variety of methods
·GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent)
·Industry related qualifications such as Degree, HND, or NVQ’s are desirable
·Nationally recognised qualification in instructional techniques and instructional design
