I am recruiting for an experienced Corporate Business Development Manager with Travel Management Company knowledge and experience; this is an exciting opportunity to work for a well known leading UK transport company based in Birmingham.

THE ROLE
You will be joining a team of 4 and will be responsible for generating and developing new business opportunities alongside managing the client's existing requirements within a market that is fairly new and growing for the company, corporate business travel. This is an attractive and challenging position where 80% of your time will be focusing on new business and 20% managing existing clients. You will be office based 2/3 days a week and field based visiting clients and presenting the remaining days of the week.

My client is a leading public transport operator with bus, coach, light and heavy rail services across the UK, Continental Europe, North Africa, North America and the Middle East. They are a big name player, giving you product confidence when presenting to clients.

TYPICAL DAILY JOB DUTIES - WHAT ARE YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR?Identify, negotiate and implement new strategic corporate travel commercial partnerships Build high level stakeholder relationships with key corporate travel partnersManage existing corporate travel partnerships Drive revenue, profit growth and customer acquisition across all channelsStrategically plan your sales pipeline, focussing on Travel Management Companies (TMC)Cold call and approach new business opportunitiesOrganise, plan and present proposalsManage the negotiationsCreate detailed business cases to successfully influence senior internal stakeholders across the key functions of Commercial, IT, Marketing, Service Delivery and Finance, to deliver actions required.Undertake comprehensive financial modelling of planned campaigns and promotions, to validate the commercial viability and overall potential business impact.Evaluate the operational impact of any new corporate travel partnership and build service delivery plans to ensure their smooth implementation.Take ownership of corporate travel partnerships, including developing contact strategy. Create and deliver sales plans for these with accountability for the delivery of the budget.Create and maintain detailed monthly sales reports and maintain an accurate ongoing forecast for your accountsWork closely with internal stakeholders and departmentsMaintain a detailed and accurate awareness of competitor activity and pricing

PERSON SPECIFICATIONSignificant experience of developing both new and existing B2B commercial partnershipsCommercially and financially astute with the ability to work at paceCurrent market awareness is vital, specifically of Travel Management CompaniesStrong communication skills with the ability to liaise with people/stakeholders of all levels building genuine long lasting relationshipsAbility to influence key stakeholders in a professional wayHighly proficient in the use of MS Excel and PowerPoint with experience of creating professional presentationsExcellent presentation delivery skillsTenacious, self motivated and determinedFull UK driving license with your own car
