Bringing your passion for the vision of Christian Aid you will spend approximately 2 days a week working on projects to plan and deliver national fundraising, campaigning and church engagement initiatives. Through these you will inspire churches and individuals to join our movement for change through their gifts, actions and prayers.You will also nurture and build relationships to motivate and enable church leaders, church congregations, volunteers and Christian Aid groups in Northumberland and Tyne & Wear to respond to poverty by raising more money, campaigning and prayer. You will work with and through others to increase the engagement of churches in your counties. Working from our Newcastle office you will bring your knowledge of churches and the individuals within them to the fore. You will have substantial experience of bringing the best out of volunteers and giving presentations or preaching. You will be an excellent communicator, able to motivate and inspire people of faith to give, act and pray for Christian Aid using biblical principles and faith-based language. Knowledge of churches in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear would be an advantage.You will be comfortable working within a project management structure, and with a wide range of staff from different disciplines. You will also have a good understanding of international development issues and Christian Aid's core supporter base in the churches. You will be an excellent communicator, able to motivate and inspire people of faith to give, act and pray for Christian Aid using biblical principles and faith-based language. You will have substantial experience of working with churches; fundraising and campaigning; and will have competent IT skills. You will need to be well organised and able to plan and balance a diverse workload. You will have the confidence, skills and energy to strengthen our partnerships and to fundraise with churches and individuals across Northumberland, Tyne & Wear. As part of the Eastside Regional team you will need to be able to work well with other staff members and independently take responsibility for the work in your county. You will be in the vanguard of our new emphasis on project working, participating in cross-organisational project groups to creatively fulfil our fundraising and campaigning aims, such that Christian Aid enables a wide range of churches and church-goers to be effective agents of change.
