A growing Staffordshire Distributor is recruiting an Operations Director to join their Executive team.
This Board level role has many challenges and a wide scope. The organisation have a turnover approaching £500m and are a multi-site business. They have SKU count in the region of 15,000 which is held in a central location and they have a stock holding value of around £40M.
The Operations Director will have team of 5-6 direct reports who are described as being self-managing so your brief will be to provide direction but have a real focus on the strategic development of the wider Operations.
The end to end remit of Operations extends from inventory management, warehousing, transport and logistics.
You will be expected to deliver customer service excellence, create a strong culture of employee engagement and communication, actively look for new opportunities to grow the operation in line with corporate strategy and provide coaching and mentoring of senior operational personnel to provide succession planning.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity and challenge, you will require vast exposure and strong ability across all areas of Supply Chain. You will have previous experience operating at executive level be able to demonstrate proven ability at leading and developing teams of people and have strong influencing skills.
Given communication is a major part of the business culture, you must be able to showcase excellent stakeholder management skills.
If you can demonstrate the above, the salary will be in the region of £80,000 plus an executive benefits package.
