To maintain the security and welfare of the building and the clients at night as far as possible at the High Green Premises

To control access to the premises and monitor access to the building by clients, staff and visitors, in a professional and friendly manner

To promote and maintain a culture of 'meaningful purpose'; supporting residents to access a range of community based, risk assessed, local activities.

To undertake administrative, maintenance and cleaning duties as required

Maintaining a visible presence in and around the building - Walking round the premises (internally and externally) on a regular basis including checking to ensure the integrity of the building is maintained

Providing a professional, secure and friendly front of house access and reception service

To be a first point of call when dealing with emergencies, e.g. fire, medical, police etc. and to manage such emergencies appropriately including liaising with the police, the "On Call Manager" and other agencies to prevent damage to the premises

Ensuring all rooms can be accessed by clients and replacement keys/locks be provided where necessary

To undertake domestic duties including cleaning stairs, offices, communal areas and toilets

Reporting breaches of security and damage to the fabric of the building to the appropriate person and calling "Approved" contractors out to deal with emergency repairs to maintain the security and safety of the building as required

Carrying out minor repairs e.g. changing light bulbs on stairs and landings

Answering telephone calls and taking messages as required

All untoward incidents are fully recorded and reported to the Service Manager and any required maintenance is reported and completed as soon as possible

Maintaining manual and computerised records and monitoring CCTV screens

Conducting routine checks on fire and other emergency systems and maintaining written records of all checks in partnership with the Maintenance Manager

Reporting issues relating to the personal security, welfare and safety of the clients to the appropriate staff

Attending team meetings and supervision meetings which may take place before or after the normal shift hours

Hours of work are 40 per week 6pm - 6am over a 7 day period
