Position: Transport Controller
Customer: Jaguar Landrover
Salary: £23,500 + Shift Allowance
Shift Pattern: Rotating (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

As a Transport Controller you will be responsible for ensuring that you provide a strategic and dynamic transport solution to general transport challenges. Leading approach towards Health and Safety and unionised environment. Must work on own initiative and as part of a team and be capable of producing KPI's and reports for senior management team. Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to pressurised situations.
Key Responsibilities in this role will include;
Responsibility for excess of 50 vehicles
Tracking and tracing of 300 + network trailers
Managing a core driver workforce
Admin - System de-brief
Communication Skills - Customer & Satalite account transport operations
Fleet Compliance / Fleet Management
Process Management / Adherance
Professional apperance and approach
Driver Training Planning
Vehicle / Trailer Defect Management
Review and control of agency costs and personnel
Budget responsibility for driver costs
Effective team building qualities
Key skills and experience in this role will include:
Transport - Automotive beneficial
WTD and Tachograph knowledge
Fleet Compliance knowledge
Excell and word proficient
Knowledge of telematics systems
Health and safety knowledge
Worked at more than one location
Understanding of UK motorway network
High School standard
College experience preferred not essential
