Permanent "Manufacturing Team Leader"

Salary - £33,000 - £38,000 DOE

Location - Stoke on Trent

Our client, a world leading people focused manufacturing business based in Stoke-on-Trent. Due to business growth they are now looking to recruit a "Manufacturing Team Leader" to drive team performance to attain and exceed the objectives of the business unit working in line with company standards and policies.

Key Duties as a "Manufacturing Team Leader" include:

- Take part in the preparation of the future, looking for progress paths (personnel, flow, industrialisation, etc) and maintain a progress dynamic in the team
- Resolve the Business Unit problems with help from the workshop support team and involve the Business Unit in the identification of solutions
- Deploy the annual plan objectives in the Business Unit
- Manage the people in the Business Unit in a consistent manner
- Ensure the correct level of polyvalence and reactivity within the Business Unit to correctly manage unforeseen problems
- Apply the fundamentals: maintenance, quality, industrial engineering and costs. Ensure 100% Health and Safety
- Animate and take part in the company approach with all of its tools
- Welcome new hires and manage their training. Ensure a good working atmosphere and good cooperation between teams
- Contribute to the qualification of people and the progression of their team
- Animate progress in the Business Unit and direct it towards the customer (customer satisfaction as measured by product returns / complaints)
- Progress each person and accompany their development

To be considered for this role you will be a progressive and forward thinking team leader who has a proven success in building, driving and developing teams within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Leading by example is a must as well being a leader of people to continually drive them to be the best they can be. Strong appreciation of costs, planning, systems and people management are essential in this role.
