Hays Education are delighted to be working on behalf of an Ofsted 'Good' secondary school in West Bromwich to recruit for a qualified English teacher for a part time post to start in September 2017. This is a part time teaching role, 3 days per week. The days can be flexible depending on your requirements and the post will be offered as an annual contract.
Your new School
This school is a multi-cultural 11-19 foundation school, serving 1400 students in the North of West Bromwich close to the border with Walsall. It opened in September 2010 and they have quickly established themselves as one of the highest performing schools in the area, an accolade achieved through their commitment to continually improving the quality of teaching and learning and the provision of exciting and dynamic learning experiences for their students. The school is highly involved in fundraising and the pupils and staff raise hundreds of pounds each year for local, national and international charities.
Your new Role
In your new secondary teaching job you will work alongside the permanent member of staff to create English lessons that will engage pupils and you will have the natural ability to deliver them with confidence and enthusiasm. The role is three days per week, between Monday and Friday. You will be teaching a mixed timetable which may also include time within the inclusion unit. You will need to be experienced teaching up to KS4 and be familiar with the current curriculum. The role is offered 3 days per week from September 2017 until at least July 2018.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your new teaching job you will have completed your studies and hold QTS. You will be an experienced English Teacher that is passionate about student progress and is committed to helping pupils to achieve their academic potential. The ideal candidate would have been in a long term or permanent teaching role and will be able to supply Hays with outstanding references from the previous employer. Both NQTs and qualified teachers are welcome to apply.
