Overview of the role:

Direct Workforce are working with our well-established client to recruit for an experienced Quality Assurance technician with knowledge and experience relating to audits in a busy manufacturing environment based in Cradley Heath.

Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate:

  • We are expanding our Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Team and are looking to hire a Quality Assurance Technician.
  • Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Manager this role will help drive our Quality Assurance programs, proactively coordinate the internal standards auditing of the plant, take the lead of customer complaints and produce analytics for the Quality Assurance department
  • Responsible for all aspects of Audit Criteria and Audits for external and internal purposes
  • Ensuring quality of products throughout manufacturing process
  • Training staff using PowerPoint presentations

Skills and experience required:

Practical experience of working in a quality department within a production environment

• A good knowledge of BRC and SMETA Standards

• Experience of carrying our internal quality audits

• Knowledge of HACCP and the ability to lead a HACCP team

• Strong problem solving, data analysis and communication skills

• Knowledge & experience of root cause analysis methods and a proactiveattitude towards preventative measures and continuous improvement

• Confidence to constructive challenge processes, departments and individuals that do not abide or conform to Quality standards

• Ability to devise and run data analytics for the Quality Assurance department

Ability to develop and deliver Quality Assurance training programs for the plant

• Ability to assist in the development of new Quality Assurance policies and implement them effectively

• Desire to engage in continuous improvement project work

• Strong abilities in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access

Desirable Skills

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Quality Assurance/Management

Hours: Monday – Friday – 8-4 or 9-5
