Overview

•Drive agenda for customer led business decisions across the business based on sound, commercial thinking and actionable insights

•Own prioritised Group insights strategy

•Develop Group customer segmentations and embed them in business processes and decision making

•Develop reporting and key management information outputs to support the day-to-day running and long-term planning of marketing and digital, including regular reporting, short and long term forecasts and actionable next step recommendations

•Answer business queries through combining data from various sources and deliver pragmatic and effective recommendations

•Line management responsibility for an expanding team

You will:

•prepare written analysis and present findings to senior managers on a regular basis, making effective use of data visualisation to “tell the story”

•generate regular cohort analysis to drive actionable insights across the marketing and digital to help define business objectives and support those objectives

•deliver an understanding of who our customers are and how they shop with us including customer journeys, purchase funnel, channel analysis and targeting effectiveness

•perform data mining, blending large datasets to support analysis and drive further insights

•identify new opportunities to improve our customer understanding

•lead an insight community with operational managers and data analysts from across the business to prioritise analysis, agree actions and measure effectiveness of those actions

Your experience

•Excellent analytical & financial modelling skills – demonstrable success in delivering real-time insight that is actionable and drives revenue, churn, margin improvement

•Track record of distilling complex information into compelling visualisations and reports

•Strong understanding of customer lifecycle and how to influence customer behaviour

•Clear view on KPIs and what success looks like

•Ability to manage multiple partners, prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines

Your skills and qualifications

•A degree or equivalent in a science or quantitative subject

•5+ Years’ experience of modelling, data management, information systems and related software (e.g. Tableau, Excel/VBA, Qlik)

•Superior written and oral communication skills

•Possession of level of gravitas with ability to confidently present business cases to senior management

•Good attention to detail and takes responsibility for the accuracy of their work

•Previous line management experience
