Rob Walker is recruiting for a Physical testing technician to join a leading organisation specialising in rubber, plastic & composite testing & manufacture, on a full time, fixed term contract till the end of the year based in Shropshire.

As a Physical testing technician you will deliver timely, high quality data with the minimum of supervision, assist with project planning and implementation. You will also assist with efficient organisation of equipment resources, offer support with maintenance of specified equipment and provide technical expertise.

Further responsibilities of this Physical testing technician will be to:
- Undertake materials testing and primary pack testing,
- Perform Document Security and Print Quality durability testing
- Perform physical testing efficiently providing good quality data on time.
- Comply with schedules and assignments.
- Promptly identify instrument problems and report immediately to Laboratory Manager
- Undertake equipment maintenance, and consumable stock control.
- Provide technical expertise.
- Familiarity and compliance with all relevant standard operating procedures.
- Maintain appropriate and effective health and safety arrangements for the Laboratory in conjunction with the Health and Safety Officer.

As an Physical testing technician, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- A Level or equivalent or degree in a Science related subject
- Experience using Physical testing techniques
- Must be numerate, with excellent attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organise and manage own workload without supervision
- Aptitude to follow instruction accurately
