Payroll Analyst (Temporary)
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Analyst on a temporary basis. Responsible for the processing of designated payrolls, both monthly and weekly, to produce accurate and timely payments to all employees and third parties.
•To process the monthly/weekly payrolls, inputting data, and updating the records on the payroll system to produce accurately and timely payments to all.
•Control and validate all variable cash and hours input for the payroll, via either, manual input or the Time and Attendance system. (SAP SYSTEM) •Respond to enquiries from both employees and external bodies on payment related matters.
•To assist in the day to day maintenance of all pension scheme records.
•To be actively involved in the development of the payroll system and its associated procedures.
•To process and extract data from the Time & Attendance system to import to payroll. (SAP)
•To assist in the control and development of departmental procedures in accordance with Quality requirements.
•To administer and process Statutory Payments for SMP, SPP, SAP,SHPP and SSP, as appropriate.
•To administer and process elements of pay under the salary sacrifice schemes i.e., Childcare Vouchers and Cycle to Work.
•To conform to Data Protection requirements regarding all data processed, accessed and distributed from the system.
•To perform any other duties to meet operational and development needs.

Required Knowledge and Experience:
•Proven experience of working in a payroll department, processing Statutory Payments for example, SSP, SMP etc.
•Advanced knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
•Knowledge of computerised payroll systems such as Payrite
•Knowledge and experience of Government legislation.
•Knowledge and application of Data Protection legislation
•Knowledge of SAP system desirable
