Finance & Operations Manager

Location - Redditch

Seymour John are working exclusively with a Redditch based subsidiary of an international group to recruit a Finance & Operations Manager.

We are looking for an experienced and "hands on" accountant who will take day-to-day responsibility for the running of all finance requirements of the business. This role would suit an individual who is also looking for involvement in the operational running of a business, working closely with the General Manager. It would suit a candidate looking for exposure to a variety of areas of the business as well as finance, including sales, HR and operations.

Responsibilities Include

  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company, outsourced payroll, invoicing, and other transactions including PL, SL and NL
  • Cashflow management and monitoring
  • Contact for tax preparation, VAT, auditing, banking, and other financial needs as necessary
  • EC Sales & Intrastat
  • Stock control and management
  • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
  • Basic HR Administration

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as an accountant within an SME business, AAT or QBE
  • Actively seeks to partner with operational functions of the business outside of finance
  • Initiative to recommend process improvements and efficiencies
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems skills (SAP desirable not essential)
  • Good Excel skills and MS Office applications
  • Strong communicator working with senior stakeholders
  • Versatile and meticulous approach to tasks and deadlines.
