Job Title: Programme Manager

Job Purpose:

To lead a team holding overall responsibility for the timely delivery of all projects to budget within a new technical publications managed service. To own the client relationship at senior management level within the project delivery set-up. This is a key relationship organisation role dealing with multiple global sites and their cultures.

Main Responsibilities:

* Act as the senior decision maker for projects from initiation and set-up to execution working to a set standard
* Being overall responsible for the project specifications where scope, project goals and deliverables are well defined and tuned with key stakeholders and customer needs
* Own costings, specifying resources and competences needed and defining risks
* Direct and support project managers within your team
* Ensure authoring and graphical standards and guidelines are adhered to
* Instigate and drive benchmarking and best practise exercises
* Work with colleagues and third party suppliers to design and implement change
* Have an understanding of how technology can add value to our customers
* Have an understanding of authoring environments, content management systems and digital distribution platforms
* Support with the design and implementation of new standards, processes and guidelines
* Drive quality delivering as a minimum to Semcon quality standards
* Responsible for key feedback meetings with the client (including production and steering group meetings)
* Own KPI's and the reporting of results
* Responsible for instigating and driving of all Semcon internal processes and procedures
* Overall responsibility for quality of end deliverables
Person Specification:

* Flexible approach Proven history of being able to deliver strong leadership skills
* Ability to build and manage relationships internally and externally
* Efficient and time conscious
* Strong communication skills particularly influencing and persuading
* Suitable qualifications with excellent verbal and written English skills
* IT and computer literate, ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently. Must have experience in working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software (ideally at intermediate level)
* Agricultural/Plant machinery experience preferable
* IT System experience
* Experience of managing projects
* Experience of working individually, with a team, and communicating effectively with the customer (previous experience working in a customer facing role)
* Capable of managing and prioritising workload and working to tight deadlines (in some instances being flexible around working hours if / when required)
* Able to identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions
* Full / Clean Driving Licence
* Willing to travel
* Language skills that would be an advantage: German, French, Italian
