A fantastic and unique opportunity has arisen for a VAS (Value Added Service Manager) to enhance an established distribution facility in the Birmingham area.

This is fast paced, packaging and distribution facility that continues to develop and grow so we are looking for a VAS Manager to take responsibility for managing all Value Added Services within the facility, ensuring effective and service optimised material flow of goods

This is a new role that has been created, giving you the perfect opportunity to make a fast impact.


- Development of the Value Added Service strategy together with the Logistics Director
- Implement Value Added Service Strategy
- Implement corrective actions if KPI's are not achieved
- Interface between Planning / Supply Chain / and Marketing
- Lead tender process together with procurement
- Audit Sub-contractors and Suppliers together with the Quality Manager
- Support price negotiations of new Value Added Service activities
- Project management
- Assess the existing Value Added Strategy and processes and how these can be improved
- Interface with the Commercial Division
- Ensure close cooperation between local and regional Logistics functions as well as customer service
- Control VAS subcontractor costs
- Cost savings


- You will have gained your Management experience from a fast paced environment
- Ideally this could be FMCG, or high volume manufacturing / Logistics
- Previous experience of driving change and implementation of new processes and systems
- Project management skills
- A customer focused orientation
- As you are interfacing between Supply Chain / Planning / marketing / Commercial, both regional and Overseas, you need to be a strong communicator, a relationship builder
- Astute and imaginative
- Results driven
