The post holder will be crucial in ensuring that solutions being developed within our client are fit for purpose to meet the needs of the global customer base. The post holder will work with customers to fully understand their business needs in the context of the existing technical estate and develop a strategy and solution that helps them deliver value and return on investment. The role requires active engagement with the internal technical community to ensure the suite of products remains market leading, flexible and able to be delivered on a global scale to internationally recognised brands.
Here's what skills you'll need…
Experience in providing technical governance across all delivery streams by actively contributing to pre-sales activity, customer estate analysis and High Level Designs.
Focus on enabling business and IT leaders to make investment decisions that balance and prioritise current operational demands, disruptions and opportunities with the longer-term strategic vision of the organisation.
Work with the wider technology team on a global level to ensure product development and roadmap is fit for purpose.
Identify, scope and design any pieces of work or product development that would be to the advantage of both our client or there customers.
Ensure non-technical requirements are always at the forefront of solutions being designed with full documentation and continual review processes.
Coordinate a wider team of staff throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure all aspects of the solution are delivered on time and within budget.
Conduct and support the internal architecture review process and actively contribute to the wider architecture strategy within the business. Manage risk.
Deliver internal training and mentoring to colleagues to ensure that knowledge is shared, this may be via face to face sessions as well as internal documentation.
Strong, confident 'leader' who can drive change and inspire those around them
Ability to say no to technical decisions if they do not deliver value to either our client or their customer
Ability to face off to senior leaders both internally and within global customers
A varied and wide ranging knowledge of the technology landscape and a natural desire to continue learning and developing
Exceptional strategic planning and problem solving skills with great attention to detail
Here's what will give you an edge…
TOGAF or similar certification
Experience of working in a SaaS organisation operating in the Retail sector
Understanding of full EPOS or POS Retail systems, for example;
