Temporary - 6 Month Contract
£16.50 - £18.00 per hour
Our client is a privately owned, design and build company based in the North West. This business undertake work across multiple sectors including; Residential, Commercial, Site Developments, ECO Desng and general construction. Developments include extensions, refurbishments and new build projects.
Due to an increase in workload, this business are actively looking to recruit an experienced Foreman to support on a site in Shrewsbury. This is a temporary contract for a minimum of 6 months.
Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will be predominantly responsible for the staff on the development. This site is currently at sign off stage and you will be joining at the starting stages of the development to ensure you are responsible and involved in the full build process.
You will be the sole Supervisor on a design and build development of a bespoke house in Shrewsbury. Quality of work is the main focus of this business to make every development individual for each client. At anyone time you will be responsible for 6-8 subcontractors on site as well as a direct work force of 2-3 individuals.
You will also be required to support and work alongside the direct work force to utilise your knowledge and skills you developed when first joining the construction industry. Therefore it is essential you have progressed from a Trades background for example; Joinery, Bricklayer, Plasterer ect.
What you need to succeed?
Experience working within a foreman/ supervisor role previously is essential as well as a trades background as you will be required to actively get involved in the day to day works on site. Previous experience working on bespoke builds/ extensions/ conversions would be ideal.
This role is to start in September 2017 and you will be required to commit to a 6 month contract to be responsible for the full build of a bespoke property.
