Based just on the outskirts of Birmingham, our forward thinking, innovative client is paving the way and delivering a level of customer service and experience that has never been done before in this specialist but well-used industry.

As a brand-new concept, this 'start-up' company is well supported and funded by one of the country's biggest organisations in their sector. This is a great opportunity to be involved right from the very beginning with an exciting and pioneering project with massive scope for growth.

The Role

Working within the Customer Experience department, this Digital Marketing Manager role reports directly in to the Head of Digital and will be responsible for driving and converting traffic to digital channels, including websites, apps and social, as well as to bricks and mortar branches!

You'll work with the Head of Digital to put together the overall marketing strategy and then be fully responsible for the 'hands-on' delivery of all digital aspects of the strategy; everything from paid search to SEO, affiliates, social, PR and anything in between.

This is a big role, and as with the nature of many 'start-ups', you'll be expected to muck in wherever you're needed - a positive 'fix it quick' attitude will be vital.

Key responsibilities will include but are by no way limited to:

  • Input and delivery of digital marketing plan
  • Customer acquisition and retention
  • Execution of digital and social marketing campaigns
  • Drive ROI across all channels - be the advocate for digital activity across the business
  • Ensure all campaigns are measured, analysed and reported on
  • Lead and motivate wider team

About You

This 'start-up' style environment requires someone who isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get their hands dirty. With a commercial mindset, you'll need to understand best practices for customer acquisition, conversion and retention.

The perfect candidate for this role will come with several years' experience in a hands-on, digital marketing role (ideally within the retail sector), where you understand the importance of driving and converting customers within budget constraints.

If you're creative as well as analytical, that's a huge bonus! There will be opportunities to input in to promotions and web design/content (words, photos graphics).
