About the Role
As a Security Analyst at Severn Trent your role will be to drive security compliance and resilience capabilities across the organisation. As well as positive engagement with key internal and external stakeholders, as part of this role you will analyse security incident data and provide timely reports and trend analysis, including optimisation of the security incident reporting system A key aspect to this role is supporting the investigation of physical and information security incidents. Furthermore, you will be responsible for providing support to the supply chain in achieving their requirements on capital projects in relation to security against Severn Trent and Defra standards.
With some experience of working in a security background from physical, cyber, people or information security, it would be desirable although not essential that you have worked in a multi-disciplined company with a company focus - seeking opportunities for collaboration with the wider Security & Resilience team, plus other teams within Severn Trent to support a 'One Severn Trent' approach. In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have the ability to work with colleagues to ensure that security and information security management is and remains a priority. It is also key that you are able to balance and prioritise conflicting work demands when required and the ability to develop customer focussed relationships built upon trust and an empathetic understanding of front line operational challenges.
