Role Objective:
*Senior Technician *Support the Team Manager in managing the day to day operation of our teams and assets. *Ensure we meet our Key Business objectives Safer Better & Faster.

Key Accountabilities:
*Enable the team to manage the day to day operation and maintenance of wholesale assets through allocated resources (people, capital assets, IT and finance). *Have a real focus on Health Safety and Well Being to ensure that nobody gets hurt or made unwell by our activities *Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and company requirements. *Ensure consistent use and application of standardised practices and procedures for the management of H&S risk and quality problems, with full adherence to and promotion of the Company principles *Support local operator and maintenance teams in the development of cost saving, optimisation and improvement activities. *Assist the Team Manager and planner with controlling operations and access for third party work on site *Assist the Team Manager with Budget monitoring and preparations *Support the Area Manager in interpretation of relevant Health & Safety policies, assessing the impact of implementation and developing implementation plans. *Provide cover (as and when appropriate) for the Area Manager. *Take part in CDM standby rota.

Experience:
*Experience in a technical discipline although for the correct candidate sound experience of production methods may be sufficient. Experience in a supervisory or management position, or exhibit relevant leadership behaviours would be a distinct advantage. *Strong understanding and experience of H&S management *Experienced in the application of quality and environmental management systems. *Excellent IT skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. *Basic or good maintenance/technical background desired.

Ability to work well within a team and also alone using own initiative. *Strong people skills *Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to write effective reports and carry out clear and precise presentations. *Ability to provide clear direction to a team of operators or maintainers dealing with any queries that could arise. *Innovative with ability to provide a variety of solutions to problems that occur. *Ability to communicate complex information clearly to a variety of audiences. *Ability to plan and prioritise own workload with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications:
*Managing Health & Safety qualification or equivalent. *Scientific or engineering qualification or experience
