Nineteen Recruitment are both delighted and excited to be working with a Birmingham based client that offers award-winning and industry-leading services, including consumer brand marketing and corporate reputation management, public affairs, public sector, digital marketing and content creation, crisis support, consultation and stakeholder engagement.
We are looking for a full time and permanent Senior Account Manager.
Purpose of role In addition to the responsibilities of an Account Manager, the Senior Account Manager is responsible for assisting the Account Director with providing operational support to the senior directors and Head of Region.
Additional Accountabilities
  • Act as the primary contact to clients, continually fostering the client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to clients, including some of the agency’s most prominent national accounts
  • Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence Resolves client issues and has clarity about desired outcomes, escalating as appropriate and recommending best approach to senior account lead
  • Develops new business leads and assists in the negotiation process with prospective and existing clients and suppliers.
  • Supports the senior directors in delivering the new business process, leveraging the skills and experience of the wider team

Scope of role A range of account relationships of various sizes in local markets, including HSBC and M&S. Some clients may be international, including InMoment (USA)
Key Relationships Internal – account team and other department members and colleagues across the business, including international. External – client team, journalists, media professionals and vendors.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Has sharp business and PR acumen to quickly determine short and long term priorities for self and junior team members to ensure all client needs are met
  • Experienced in managing and working on a diverse range of accounts Strategic, analytical thinker with the initiative to see a program through from start to finish
  • Strong understanding of both traditional and digital public relations Digitally savvy
  • Curious – a desire to learn, improve, apply new knowledge and develop self
  • Excellent grasp of clients’ marketplaces, audiences and routes to market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Commercially aware and decisive
